Would you like to help develop new knowledge and technology in collaboration with leading international research environments? The Global Research Collaborations programme invests in ambitious research and technology projects that build bridges between Danish research institutions and strong research environments abroad.
Projects under Global Research Collaborations must create new knowledge and technology within strategic core areas. The aim is to establish long-term international relationships that strengthen Danish research, competitiveness and security.

From application to project
-
The application must be submitted digitally via the portal www.e-grant.dk. It is the Danish research institution acting as the lead applicant that is responsible for the submission itself and the dialogue with Innovation Fund Denmark.
The submission deadline is 3 September 2026 at 12:00 (noon) CET.
If you need guidance, Innovation Fund Denmark regularly holds webinars and Q&A sessions, which you can sign up for via our website. -
Your application must present a well-defined project that addresses the following elements:
- Strategic relevance: A description of how the project contributes to at least one of the strategically critical technology areas.
- International collaboration: Documentation of the collaboration with one of the selected focus countries in the call, including the partner’s concrete participation in the project.
- Assessment criteria: The application must clearly address the project’s quality (the high level of the research), its impact (value creation for Denmark) and execution (how the project will be implemented effectively).
- Budget: An overview of expected costs, e.g. salaries, equipment and materials.
