The assessment takes place in several stages to ensure a thorough and fair evaluation:

• Screening: First, the application undergoes an administrative check to ensure that all formal requirements are met.
• Academic assessment: Next, an expert committee assesses the application. In certain cases, external experts are involved for further evaluation.
• Right of reply: If an external evaluation is carried out, the applicant will have the opportunity to comment on it through a right-of-reply process.
• Decision: The committee makes the final decision based on the overall assessment.

Applications are assessed by the Grand Solutions expert committee. If deemed necessary, external subject-matter experts within the relevant areas may be involved to review the application.

The application must be submitted electronically via the e-grant portal.

You will be notified of the decision directly via e-grant.dk. Here you will receive either an award letter or a rejection of your application.

The lead applicant is responsible for administering the grant. This is the institution that receives the investment and manages communication with Innovation Fund Denmark.

For specific details on payment schedules and instalments, please refer to the programme’s detailed guidelines.

The lead applicant has administrative responsibility for the grant throughout the project period.

The specific requirements for ongoing reporting and financial accounts are set out in the award letter.

If significant changes occur in the project, the Danish lead applicant is responsible for communicating this to Innovation Fund Denmark.

At the end of the project, emphasis is placed on the value created and the foundation established for continued international collaboration.

The projects must help strengthen Danish research and knowledge within the strategic areas, also after the end of the project period.
