The Space Technology theme covers both technologies for use in space and solutions that leverage data, communications and services from space infrastructure.
The initiatives can span broadly. This may include developing technologies for satellites, communications, sensors, materials or energy solutions for use in space and future space platforms. It may also include the use of satellite data, e.g. positioning data and Earth observations, for monitoring, navigation and digital solutions across sectors and industries.
The theme is relevant for projects that develop or apply space-based technologies, systems, infrastructures or data to create new solutions and value for society.
More funding opportunities
Projects with dual-use aspects may also be relevant under the theme of defence and security technology. In addition, all programmes under the theme Critical and Digital Technologies can support relevant space technology activities.
