The theme Critical and Digital Technologies covers both the development of foundational technologies and advanced technological platforms, as well as their application across sectors and industries.
The theme targets activities that help strengthen technological capacity, resilience and innovation capability through the development and application of advanced digital, industrial and data-driven technologies, as well as solutions that support the secure, stable and efficient operation of critical functions and infrastructures, including, for example, within communications, energy systems, cybersecurity, automation, analysis and decision support. It may also include the development of methods and systems that support the secure, responsible, transparent and efficient use of technology.
Projects within the theme are expected, overall, to help strengthen society’s digital, technological and industrial foundation and create value through new solutions, applications, products and technological breakthroughs.
