Method: Manual checks to ensure that all interactive content is accessible using the keyboard. This manual check has been carried out on the reviewed content. Contrast and colour test: Objective: Ensure that text and images have sufficient contrast and are distinguishable for users with impaired vision. Method: Thorough analysis of the various elements. Accessibility tools were used to obtain an overview, after which each element was iterated over to assess colour contrasts on the reviewed pages. Form input and error handling test: Objective: Evaluate the usability of forms to ensure accessibility and clear error messages. Internal user testing and a detailed analysis of interaction with the forms. A thorough assessment was carried out of their ability to convey information at all stages of the completion process for different user types and tools. Remaining standards: An external party carried out internal analyses to assess compliance with a number of WCAG 2.2 requirements. This process involves an in-depth assessment in which each linked page (see report for selected pages) is carefully examined and evaluated to determine the extent to which each requirement is met. This approach is crucial to ensuring that Innovation Fund Denmark’s digital content complies with accessibility standards.

  Innovation Fund Denmark live-streams conferences and similar events. Live streams are not captioned or audio described.

Initiatives to achieve a higher level of web accessibility

Training in the use of the CMS system’s tools for correct editor-level use in compliance with accessibility standards. Automatic accessibility screening via SE Ranking to address technical errors (e.g., images without alt text, pages without titles, etc.). In addition, we are continuously working to minimise the use of media elements that are not built directly into HTML (e.g., images with text, PDF documents). In future website development, web accessibility will be incorporated into the design.
