Eurostars is part of the EU Partnership Program for Innovative SME’s. The partnership is co-funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe. It is the largest international funding programme for SMEs wishing to collaborate with partners (large companies, universities, research organizations etc.) on R&D projects that create innovative products, processes or services for commercialisation. Your consortium must have an SME as main applicant.

Who?

SMEs and project partners such as large companies, universities, research organizations, public organisations and hospitals. At least two partners from two different Eurostars member states must participate and the project must be led by an SME.
Projects without a participating Danish SME will not be eligible for funding from IFD.

What?

Collaborative R&D projects that create innovative products, processes or services for commercialisation.

How much?

Co-funding from Innovation Fund Denmark is limited to a maximum funding amount of 500.000 EUR per project and between 50,000 and 300,000 € per Danish partner. Applications for grants outside these limits will be rejected. Maximum funding rate may vary between 25-90% of the project costs, please see the latest version of Guidelines for international projects.

Eurostars’ call conditions

At least two partners from two different Eurostars member states must participate in the project and at least 50% of the project must be conducted by the participating innovative SMEs. The project consortium must be led by an innovative SME.

The maximum duration of a Eurostars project is 36 months.

National call conditions: Topics and funding

IFD can provide funding to projects with a focus on:

  • Critical and digital technologies
  • Life science, health and welfare technology
  • New technologies, ICT, materials, technology powered new solutions etc.

Projects without a participating Danish SME will not be eligible for funding from IFD.

IFD co-finance salary, materials, travels, dissemination and to a limited extent subcontracting. Subcontracting between two project partners will not be accepted.
