Missionbooster

Missionbooster is a special program in the autumn of 2022 with a focus on supporting the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to future solutions to the green challenges. The Missonsbooster program specifically aims to support the creation of companies’ innovative knowledge base for future solutions in the four mission areas *

Who?

Small and medium-sized businesses, including startups.
You must have a Danish CVR number and EITHER have attracted 100,000 DKK in capital within the last 3 years OR have a gross profit in the last published financial year of min. 250,000 DKK.

These financial requirements apply to all applicants.

What?

The Missonsbooster program specifically aims to support the creation of companies’ innovative knowledge base for future production within the four mission areas.

How much?

You can apply between 1.5 million. – 5 mio. DKK pr. project.
The Missionbooster’s contribution can be a maximum of 70% of the company’s relevant expenses for the project. The remaining part is covered by the company itself. The expenses are calculated according to actual expenses for salaries, knowledge suppliers and materials / equipment. See the guidelines for the detailed descriptions of the principles for the above calculations.

Please note that Missionbooster is subject to EU state aid rules. The scheme is distributed under the “Block Exemption Ordinance – Industrial Research”. This is the precondition for the projects to be supported with up to 70% of the total costs.

* The four mission areas:

  • Capture and storage or use of CO2

  • Green fuels for transportation and industry (Power-to-X, etc.)

  • Climate- and environment-friendly agriculture and food production

  • Circular economy focusing on plastics and textiles

A Missionsbooster project will contribute in an innovative way to developing the innovative foundation for your SME’s future green solutions. In this connection, there may be a need to add the latest knowledge to your company through a collaboration with a Danish university or GTS institute and perhaps also further involvement of other relevant knowledge institutions or private knowledge companies. It may also be that you need to hire a new employee with special competencies or want a collaboration with a relevant cluster organization to realize the project

A co-financing from Missionsbooster must, regardless of the type of solution, help to reduce the company’s extraordinary risk in the innovation project. At the same time, the solution must be able to help solve community-related challenges within one of the four mission areas mentioned above.

The Missionbooster aims to provide support for early innovation efforts. We therefore invest in the company developing its future innovation platform, on which new solutions can subsequently be established.

The Missionbooster is awarded under the definition “industrial research”, and there is also a requirement that a Danish university or GTS institute be involved in the project.
